Hey-

Is there such thing as a Cohiba Edicion Limitada 2008? I picked one up the other day that said that but I havent been able to find anything on the internet about it.

They were in a box like they are in the link below but instead of a torpedo cut mine is a churchill cut and of course mine says 2008 by the date.

Hi Matt,

Unfortunately, Cohiba did NOT release any 2008 Edicion Limitada cigars.  The Cohiba 2008 Edicion Limitada cigar that you have is fake.  The only genuine 2008 Edicion Limitada cigars released by Habanos are:

Cuaba Piramides
Montecristo Sublimes
Partagás Serie D No.5

The only Cohiba Edicion Limitada cigars ever made were:

Piramides (Torpedo; 2001)
Double Corona (2003)
Sublimes (2004)
Piramides (Re-release; 2006)

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
