Question
I have a moist-n-aire unit in my cigar cabinet that I have had for 2 years and have been very happy with it. The other day it started running all the time. It seems to be stuck on. Is there any way to fix it? Thanks Richard

Answer
Richard,

We sell those humidifiers, but we don't work on them so I can't tell you how to fix it. However, the company that makes them rebuilds them, and I can send you a rebuilt unit, which includes all new parts other than the stainless steel tank, for $125 plus your unit in exchange.

If you want to go this route let me know because it is not something we normally do and the girls in my office won't know how to handle it. You can email me directly at b.finck@finckcigarcompany.com if you have questions. We would need you to ship us your unit and let us know how you are going to pay the $125.

You can also try to contact the manufacturer directly and see if they can fix it for you, I'm just not sure if they deal directly with consumers or if they will fix a unit that they did not sell. The company is Globe Metal Manufacturing, (215) 763-1024.

Let me know if I can help.

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
