Question
I have a large in wall humidor (5'w x 6'h x 2'd). It usually has about 1200-1500 cigars in it at all times. I have used the large electronic model from cigar oasis and had many issues. What unit would you recommend for my size humidor?
Hi Steve,
I would recommend the Hydra (www.hydrahumidifier.com) or Vigilant humidifiers (http://cigarhumidors.vigilantinc.com/cigarhumidors-systems.php). The Hydra humidifier is available in small and large sizes. The small Hydra can humidify up to 8 cubic feet and the larger unit can humidify up to 16 cubic feet.
Vigilant also makes some excellent humidifiers for larger, display cabinet humidors. Their Guardian and Sentry humidifiers are available in a variety of sizes and the maximum humidor capacity can range anywhere from 10 cubic feet for the small unit, to 500 cubic feet for their large commercial-grade unit.
Both brands have LED displays and large reservoirs. They are extremely accurate, 100% user friendly and fully user-configurable.
Both are excellent humidifier brands so they should humidify your humidor cabinet without any problems.
