Hi James,
Can you tell me if Montecristo sublimes box of 10 has a sheet of wax paper inside the size of the box or your common aprox 1 inch strip?
Also should the box have any smudging on the imbedded stamping?

A box of Montecristo Sublimes can be packaged with or without the 1 inch strip of parchment paper. I have seen both variations on genuine boxes. The imbedded stamping should not have smudging.
If you believe you have a box that is fake, research the retailer that you bought the box from and inquire about having your money refunded. Usually you can find Internet discussions on whether or not a retailer is selling fake cigars. Just search for the retailer through google and look for discussions on Internet message boards and forums. If the retailer has sold counterfeit cigars to people before, there will most likely be message board discussions about it.
You can also go to Habanos SA's website (www.habanos.com) and find the regional distributor where the box of cigars were purchased from. Contact this regional distributor and they will confirm whether or not the retailer that you purchased the cigars from is an authorized Habanos retailer.
