Question
Hello Mr Robins,

i have a question about tobacco. I remember my grandfather smoking pipes tobacco that didn't have sweet smell nor taste, yes it was dryer but it had very distinctive taste that filled up the room with comfort and ease. I ordered non-aromatic tobacco samples on line that seamed to have added sweeteners and moister retainers with smell very similar to overused perfumes by people who have no taste.

would you please suggest natural tobacco with no additives in it.

Thank you,

Answer
Latikia and Perique are English style tobaccos with no additives. However you might like this smell but it is pungent to most. The sweet tobaccos have a more popular aroma.
You could get this tobacco and mix it with some Vanilla tobacco to try to find some medium you like but I never found a blend that was compatible with Latikia or Perique as I blended extensively in the 1980's.
