Cigars/Wolf Bros Rum Crooks

Question
Just before they apparently disappeared from the market, I discovered and really enjoyed the taste of the inexpensive Wolf Bros Rum Crooks cigars. I thought they were great for the price.  Now I have located a web site indicating they sell them [deweyavesmokeshop]. But, before I attempt to order, do you have any idea if I will be purchasing the same cigars I remember, or will I be getting something a bit different in the Wolf Bros packaging?  It looks like you are required to buy 50 at a time (so I was hoping to get some information before I buy).  Thank you!

Answer
Phil,

Sorry about the delayed response - forgot to set my vacation dates again...

Wolf Bros. Crooks are off the market, so if Dewey Ave. Smoke Shop has some, they're the same as what you smoked before. No one else is making cigars and packaging them in Wolf Bros. boxes. It just happens that my factory was making the Wolf Bros. Crooks for the last owner of the brand. We made he cigars in our factory, and they packaged and marketed them. We offer our own version of the cigars, made with the same rum flavoring we used on Wolf Bros. Our cigars are a little bigger and are not "crooked", but the tobacco blend and flavorings are the same. If you'd like to try them email your address to b.finck@finckcigarcompany.com and I'll send you a couple of cigars.

Hope this helps.

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
