What options do I have to repair the outside of my humidor. See attached photo.

Hi Joe,

I would recommend taking your humidor to a furniture restorer or cigar store that can repair or service damaged humidors.  The attached photo is too small to see the damage clearly but it looks like the yellow stain on the humidor lid is paint or lacquer damage from liquid contact.  There are a few ways of repairing this type of damage yourself (google "repair stains on varnished wood") but it would be better to have the humidor lid professionally resurfaced.

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
