Question
I just read the question and answer by Tony Hyman,dated 8/9/10, about a King Edward cigar box.  I just purchased a King Albert Imperial cigar box at a yard sale and have looked for the Series number by the stamp on either side of the portrait, but there isn't one. Am I looking in the wrong place?  There is, however, a number on the bottom - 3317(0 or 6)5.  Tony's answer indicated that the King Albert Imperial might be a rare box?

I am sorry but
This is like a cardboard box of wine you bought at a garage sale.
To the best of my knowledge - 32 years experience - It has a negative $3 value.
Pay someone $3 to take it off your hands.

If it has cigars in it -
I actually got some boxes of these old cigars and put the boxes in my humidor for a few years then we smoked some. Not smokeable, not smokeable!

BUT
You never know with collectors...
Maybe sell it to Tony?

During the cigar boom collectors were more interested in this old stuff just because?
Even old empty boxes went for a lot $10 to $100, but that was in 1995.
