Question
I am wanting to open a cigar bar, I have a location and walk in humidor, I just cant find any good cigar wholesalers.  I am looking for the more premium brands(Fuente OpusX, Quai d'Orsay , San Cristobal de la Habana, etc...).  Its a high end cigar bar.  Any suggestions on a good wholesaler?

Answer
Jackson,
There are some brands that are not sold through wholesalers, and Arturo Fuente Opus X is one of them. They are only available directly from Fuente, and you'll have a hard time getting them. Opus X is in such high demand that its typically only sold to long-time, high volume customers. Quai d'Orsay and San Cristobal are both Cuban brands - not available in the U.S. As my profile says I'm not a Cuban cigar specialist, but there is another guy on this site who can help you in that area. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
