Cigars/Cuban Cigars for my Wedding

Question
I am getting married in Bermuda next Summer.  I would love to buy a great bottle of Scotch and some Cuban Cigars for the men attending my wedding.  I have no idea what Cigar to purchase.  I know there are several price points.  Can you suggest a good  cigar at a reasonable price that I might be able to purchase in Bermuda.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Jamie,

The most popular Cuban cigars to hand out at weddings are Montecristo #4, Romeo y Julieta Mille Fleur and Partagas Mille Fleur.  All these cigars are petit corona in size which is large enough to be very flavourful and just the right size for everyone - experienced cigar smokers or not - to enjoy.  Many people usually can't stomach the larger cigar sizes (or have enough time to smoke one) so petit corona makes an excellent size cigar to give out at weddings.)  Petit coronas are also very affordable which is why they are often purchased for special events.  All the cigars that I mentioned are also reasonably priced.

When purchasing Cuban cigars, be sure to buy them at an authorized Habanos SA retailer.  One shop I would recommend is "La Casa del Habanos" (LCDH).  They are an authorized Habanos retailer so you're guaranteed genuine Cuban cigars.  There are LCDH shops all over the world so I'm sure you'll be able to find a store in Bermuda.

Hope this answers your question and congratulations on your wedding!  If you have any more questions, please feel free to just ask and I'll be happy to help.

Regards,
James

Expertise

My main area of expertise is Cuban cigars but I can also assist you with cigar etiquette, humidor maintenance and troubleshooting. Unsure of a certain cigar brand? Wondering what a certain cigar tastes like? Have any questions about Cuban cigars? Just let me know! I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. (NOTE: My main focus is on premium, hand-rolled cigars and not cheap, machine made, convenience store cigars.) IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT PROVIDE CIGAR OR CIGAR-RELATED APPRAISALS. If you have a vintage cigar item and you want to know if it's worth something, please contact an antique dealer that specializes in "TOBACCIANA".

Experience

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
