Question
I have bought a box of Royal Princess "Its a boy" cigars for my expecting child. I do not have a humidor, and my child is late about 2 weeks, and I recieved the cigars in the mail about 1 week ago. Are they still going to be good, and/or is there something that I can do to ensure they are going to be good?

Answer
Bob,
Don't worry, unless you live in Arizona/Nevada where the humidity is 0%. Assuming the box they came in is wrapped in cellophane, they'll be fine for another week at least. Keep them in a cool place (not the refrigerator) like your pantry. If you're really worried buy an inexpensive humidifier (a disposable one can cost $1) and keep the box of cigars and humidifier in a large zip lock bag until the baby arrives.

Expertise

I'm a fourth generation cigar maker and have spent 25+ years operating our factory as well as a mail order cigar company. I belong to cigar manufacturers associations as well as retail cigar associations so I'm usually up to date with current events relating to cigars. I've smoked the majority of brands on the market and would be happy to share my opinions of them with you. Since I live in the U.S. I have very little experience with Cuban cigars, but other than that I know a least a little bit about almost every brand of cigars on the market.

Experience

In addition to growing up in and now managing our cigar factory for 25+ years, I've spent time in many factories in Honduras, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic and Mexico. BR>
