I have recently received an order from Cuban Lous that is so obviously fake as to be laughable. My mistake, I should have checked with Intertabak to see whether they are an official dealer and neither they or their parent company are.

They, ofcourse, insist that the product is genuine, but have yet to tell me where they are supplied from. I usually check the Habnos web site to get some sort of assurances.

I would ask all that are thinking of ordering from Cuban Lous, to think again !

Don't worry your cigars are real.I've done business with cubanlous for years and the cigars have always been perfect.I've been smoking Havanas for over 35 years and can spot fakes usually by sight but you always know when your smoking the real deal.Cubanlous cigars come from Switzerland not Canada,we all know how much cigars cost in Canada........too much.

I agree, have ordered many times and always the genuine article and on time.  There are too many illegitimate sites so we need to defend the legitimate ones.

Well it's funny how you will attest to receiving the real thing. Maybe you did, but I can tell you I ordered two boxes of Cohiba Siglo II's from Cuban Lous. Well, guess what to my disappointment they were FAKE. Maybe they ship fake cigars only to the USA, since there is a big market here and who could you possibly complain to about something illegal in your country. Perhaps you live outside of the USA and received Genuine cigars, without seeing the box and the cigars I couldn't tell you. But I can tell you with absolute certainty, my order of cigars were fake........ I then tried to warn others on a site posting but good luck with that, when the site is controlled by or sponsored by CUBAN LOU's.

If you people thinks that cuban lou's are real,  then you don't know real cigars.  Having a band and a seal do not make them real.  There is a reason why his prices are so cheap and why you cant meet anyone from the company or pick them up yourself.  They are not an authorized dealer and their prices are too low.  Explain why the cheap prices.  They do not buy in quantity.

Lots of my friends are bringing back cohibas and monte's.  They say,  you have to try these real cubans.  They tell me the price,  I laugh and dont even have to look at them.  Fake all day long. If any of you are from Toronto and have some of these so called real cigars,  let me know,  I'll come and burst your bubble.  Truth hurts

i feel I must defend cuban lou's here, i ordered some Partagas Serie D Robusto recently, all of them were not only the genuine article but there were no plugged ones either, a common enough problem with cubans. Here in Ireland I've bought the real thing enough times, aswell as in Spain and Portugal.

I recently came across Cubanlous site and was amazed at their prices. Being new to the cigar world I was eager to purchase a box from them, since my local supplier sold the cigars for 3 times the price of cuban lous.

I ordered a box of Montecristo Open Regata. I smokes 2 open masters, 1 open junior, and 1 regata from my regular supplier. When I received the box from cuban lous, it looks like the genuine article and everything checked out. Upon smoking them however, I noticed a taste I could not quite identify but brushed it off. A few cigars later I could not brush off the feeling that these cigars tasted different to the genuine ones. I checked the box again and verified the dollar label was legit. But upon closer inspection, I found that there are two labels, one pasted over the other. Googling the label I came across the cigarnexus site which explained in detail what the label should be. Everything checks out except that the color and texture was not right. The box may be real, but the cigars and seal are definitely fake.

I just wanted to chime in here on my expert knowledge of the subject since you don't seem to have done enough research.  The 2 labels is not fake.  All the recent boxes of Cubans come like this.  They have the larger fat label and then a small thinner label over the top of the other with a hologram on the thinner one and a barcode with a serial number on the other end.  This was a new security measure.  Since you don't seem to know what real Cuban boxes are supposed to look like your notion that color and texture are incorrect are now null and void.  Please do more research next time.

One thing I will tell you is Cuban Lous only sells grey market cigars - yes they are not an official distributor and neither are their distributor.  This means 1 of 2 things - they are ordering directly from a plantation that is bypassing the Cuban tax laws with is illegal or they are getting their cigars from counterfeiters.  The only way to know for sure REGARDLESS of what anyone on here says is to go to Cuba and have a smoke at the Partagas factory.  Anybody on here who hasn't done that and claims they have gotten genuine cigars from Cuban lous is making an assumption but HAS NO WAY TO KNOW THIS no matter what they tell you.  The recent counterfeiters have gotten to a point where they can replicate the original look of, say, the Monte 2, very, very accurately so all the old checks (aside from knowing the taste of a REAL CC) aren't accurate anymore.

Link to picture of recent CC box:

Look in the lower left of that picture - you will see the larger "old" fat label with the new label on top.  This is how it's supposed to be.

Do not order from Cuban Lous is all I can say to anyone out there.  They DO NOT ship orders within a month.  It's funny I've seen reviews about this company and people say they got their orders in like 4 days.  Those people were so obviously paid by the company to say that it is embarrassing to even read.  Anyone who's ever ordered from this company knows it takes them like 2-3 weeks to ship an order of 1 box of cigars.  I'm guessing they don't keep anything in stock then order whatever the person has ordered and make you wait while they get your order in stock.  How this company is still in business is absolutely beyond any common sense.  If there are people spending their hard earned money with this 2 bit operation I really feel bad for you.

Let well enough alone. Why? Because it is well enough. This is what I

learned when I tried to switch my long-time cigar providers for Cuban

I came across this completely site by accident. The first thing that

bugged me is that I couldnít find anywhere what the shipping cost for

orders under $99 was. The Shipping & Payments tab provided no

information on this matter whatsoever. I tried contacting the Cuban

Lou's customer service and sent a few e-mails, but to no avail,

because I never got an answer.

This is when my inner alarm should have gone off, but I decided to

place my order anyway, because prices were more attractive than at from which I bought my cigars before that.

Well, this is how it went Ė I got my order confirmation in two days,

and the order was shipped in six (!) days. It took unusually long for

my cigars to arrive, but, perhaps, USPS is to blame (it was the

Christmas season and all).

I canít say that the cigars were bad, but they werenít great either.

The quality matched the price, letís put it like this.

What bugged me the most is their customer service. They didnít answer

me at all or just fed me with short late replies. I got the impression

that they didnít care about me. This is why I want to rate my shopping

experience with Cuban Lou's as low.

I have been ordering Cuban Lous cigars for years. They are absolutely legit. They taste wonderful and whoever claims they are fake are retards. Probably use to Tijuana cigars that they buy for a dollar. Check for facts.

I have ordered from Cuban Lou's for three years now.  Have smoked several "authentic" Cuban cigars... Have never had an issue with Cuban Lou's product or service.  I live in the U.S. and have received orders in one week from time of order.. Great Company, Great Service.

I have ordered from Cuban Lou's for over five years. They are for real. I know because I have had two boxes confiscated en route at La Guardia Airport by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and was notified by them that they are illegal Cubans! Both confiscations happened around Christmas time, so I can only imagine that those DOHS guys were enjoying a holiday treat on me! Wait, actually on Kevin at Cuban Lou's since he quickly replaced my lost cigars for free! Great service! Another time I got a box of Monte #2s that I felt tasted funny so Kevin gave me a refund. I've gotten Cubans from Hong Kong and London, and they were no better than Cuban Lou's, only more expensive. Could be the haters on this site are really reps from Cuban Lou's competition! Yeah, it can go that way too.

I have been purchasing from Lou's for about a year.  For the previous fifteen years I was a customer of until it was acquired by Cuban Lou's. I have been smoking cigars for more than 40 years, and as my income level rose, I developed an appreciation for the interesting tastes and feel that comes with a Cuban cigar.  Even in this rarefied air, my preference is the Cohiba Siglo VI and their Maduro Magico line.  As of non-Cuban cigars, OPUS OPUS X remains the class of the rest.

I was a past customer of (never had any complaints about them) and my info was sold to Cuban Lou's.  I figured I would give them a try as I trusted AbolsuteCubanCigars.  Well to my dismay, the two cuban box cigars I ordered were both fake.  While I wouldn't consider myself an expert - I have been smoking cigars for 25 years and spent a lot of time in the UK - so I know a little about cigars and specifically cubans.  I know the telltale signs of fake cubans and both boxes displayed these signs.  I returned the two boxes and was basically out $60 or $70 that cost me to ship them back over seas.

Im not a competitor of Cuban Lou's (I live in freakin Minnesota for pete's sake) and I have no dog in this fight (so to say).  We cigar smokers tend to stick together and I would like to say lookout for one another.  So I feel it's best to warn other fellow cigar smokers, as I wished someone had warned me.  Over at your own peril.
