Question
I like smoking both flavored and none flavored cigars I would like to know if its ok to keep them in the same humidor and if its not how should they be keept preferly in the same humidor don't wanna ruin the decor of my oficce with two .

Answer
Hi Jose,

Flavored cigars can not be mixed with your other (more expensive) premium cigars.  Flavored cigars are more aromatic than your other cigars so if you mix them, the aroma of the flavored cigars will ruin your premium cigars as well as your humidor.  The only way to prevent this is to purchase a second humidor for your flavored cigars.  If you don't want to have two humidors in your office, you can purchase a small travel humidor for your flavored cigars and keep it in your desk drawer.  As an alternative, you can also keep your flavored cigars in a humi-pouch which is basically a plastic bag with a humidified lining.  These humi-pouches only last 90 days after you've first opened them so you will have to replace the bags every 3 months.  They are available in a variety of sizes and cost anywhere from $5 to $15 a bag and you can purchase them at your local cigar store/tobacconist.

Hopes this answers your question.

Regards,
James

Expertise

My main area of expertise is Cuban cigars but I can also assist you with cigar etiquette, humidor maintenance and troubleshooting. Unsure of a certain cigar brand? Wondering what a certain cigar tastes like? Have any questions about Cuban cigars? Just let me know! I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. (NOTE: My main focus is on premium, hand-rolled cigars and not cheap, machine made, convenience store cigars.) IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT PROVIDE CIGAR OR CIGAR-RELATED APPRAISALS. If you have a vintage cigar item and you want to know if it's worth something, please contact an antique dealer that specializes in "TOBACCIANA".

Experience

I currently have 19 dedicated years of cigar smoking and counting. I have smoked every brand of Cuban cigars and most reputable non-Cuban cigar brands on a regular basis so I know a fair bit about taste profiles, cigar etiquette and other fine nuances to cigar smoking. For 5 years, I studied with Cuban torcedores (rollers), catadores (taste testers) and revisadores (inspectors) on every aspect involving the production of the Cuban cigar and I am currently writing a book that will help beginners understand everything they need to know about cigars and cigar smoking.
