Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/fired from job

Question
My mother in law was fired from her job after 12 years of service. Her arm got caught on a conveyer belt.  She wasn't hurt at all so she continued to work,a few days later they told her to go to the doctor she was like there is nothing wrong with my arm but she went anyway.  The doctor gave her a release to go back to work. So on her off days the called her and say she was fired, cause she didn't not report it. But she said she wasn't hurt. Does she have any type of lawsuit?

Answer
If your state is like mine (GA), there may be "hire and fire at will" laws on the books. That means that an employee can be fired at any time, for any reason or for no reason. Since I don't know what state your are in, I would advise you to consult with a local attorney. (Even if I did know what state you are in, unless it is GA, I couldn't advise you because I am not familiar with the laws of any other states.)
