Question
alright i live in Arizona and me and my last girlfriend had a messy breakup.  Well for my last birthday she bought me a TV.  Well now that were not together she is saying she wants the tv back and is going to sue me if i dont.  Basically my question is does she have a valid lawsuit and should i be worried? oh and she gave me the gift in front of plenty of my friends so i have plenty of witnesses that it was willingly given to me without any obligations

Answer
Since I only practice in GA, I am going to defer to an AZ lawyer's opinion. The general rule is that if it was INTENDED as a gift, it is a gift. And you establish intent by just what you have mentioned: the testimony of witnesses. Call around and see if you can find an AZ attorney who doesn't charge for consultations.
