Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/Fired for a facebook comment

Question
I live in West Virginia and was just fired from a place I have worked at for over two years. My manager told me the reason was a comment on my facebook. The comment said "someone please help me find a new job, I don't think I can stand one more day at this place." however, I have more than one job and never said the companies name in my comment. The day before I was fired I mentioned to my boss that I had been looking for a new job and someone may be contacting her for a reference. I can't help to think the real reason was because I would be leaving soon. Can I recieve unemployment over this?

Answer
If WV is like most states, in the absence of a contract, you can be fired "at will", which means for any reason. As to unemployment, I don't know; that is outside the area of my practice. In GA, where I practice, I would direct folks to the Dept. of Labor. Try that in WV. Good luck.
