Question
I work in Georgia as a teacher and was told 5 days ago that I would not have a job for the next school year because of reduction in force (RIF).  However, I feel that i was discriminated against because they kept 3 teachers who all came after me, I have the same licenses as they do, no bad evaluations, they are male, coaches and I am not.  Do I have a case?  I will be call EEOC in the morning.  Do you know of any employment law attorney's that you would recommend.

Answer
I would first consult with a local attorney, because your solution may be political rather than legal. A local attorney will be able to figure out the local temperature of things and whether this can be worked without litigation.
As to labor attorneys, the only one I know is an old law school classmate:

David C. Hagaman
Ford %26 Harrison LLP
271 17th Street, NW Suite 1900
Atlanta, GA 30363
Work Phone: (404) 888-3800
Fax: (404) 888-3863

He might be able to refer you to someone if he can't help. Tell him I said hello.
