Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/Realtor Breach of Contract

Question
To whom it may concern-

Last year I bought a mobile home. As a condition of closing (and written out in the contract) the Realtor was supposed to take care of 3 or 4 things.

1 of these items was installing a new bathtub in the guest bathroom. I recently found out that, while the tub itself was installed, the drain isn't hooked up to anything and has been leaking water under my house for the past 11+ months. Additionally, electrical cords are lying where the water drains.

This causes me concern for many reasons including potential loss of life.

Additionally, the other items on that list were never handled either.

It's near impossible to speak with the Realtor as I have tried this before, with little success.

What is my best course of action? I'm thinking that I would like to sue (on a contingency basis) for the cost of the house.

Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need more details.

Answer
Depending on what stae you live in, you might prevail on certain claims but, not on the total cost of
the home. You should be entitled to the cost of the repairs that were  not completed plus attorney fees and some
multiple of the recovery under various consumer codes.
