Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/public humiliation

Question
is there a law to protect individuals from public harassment. A particular party took a public website and posted it on facebook, and several individuals posted harassing, humiliating remarks. There should be something stating that incarnated people can not be continually harassed and made fun of.  The charges listed were dismissed upon trial, thus causing this person to loose her job, and suffer public humility.  Please advise

There are laws to protect people from public harassment. However, what you are describing does not meet the definition.

My advice to the person who felt humiliated is to not visit those websites for now, and ignore any comments made by others. "sticks and stones will brake my bones but names will never hurt me."
