Question
My name and my b/friend's name are both on a deed to a house, we have been together for 8 yrs.....he paid for the house , can he force  me to leave ?

Answer
He cannot file an eviction action, which he could do if your name was not on the deed. In that situation, you would be merely a tenant and he could file an ordinary dispossessory action. However, with your name on the deed, he will have to file a Petition to Partition, or whatever it is called in your state. Consult with a local attorney knowledgeable in real estate law.
