Question
A guy gave me a check that was returned as N.S.F. then closed his account, I filed a smalls claim lawsuit for $2,100 (check was $600 and Civil Code 1719 for an additional $1,500). He bought a laptop off craigslist from me and said it was a gift, but then posted it back on craigslist the same day, I also have a witness... I am just wondering, can I prove that hes a fraud and he did this on purpose? Also can I win $2,100? Please let me know thanks!

Answer
I think you are in a good position to win. Make sure to take all documentation to court. As to the extra $1,500.00, since I don't know what jurisdiction you are in, I don't have an opinion. Try posting your question at www.lawguru.com where it will be directed to attorneys in your area.
