Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/Sm Claims - State to File?

Question
I recently moved.  I wish to sue (small claims) a company in my "new" state of residence.  This company does do business within my new county/state.  Can I sue them in this state, or must I sue them in the state where contract was executed?

Answer
Assuming your state has a jurisdictional provision like GA, you can sue in any county in which the company has an office. However, be aware of "removal" which is the mechanism whereby a resident of one state (i.e., the company) can have certain cases "removed" to federal court, which is a real procedural mess. You would be well advised to consult with a local attorney.
