Question
hi, charles,

i have partial custody of my niece and nephew and the mother of the children is allowed to visit them here at my home and have them once a week overnight (sat-sun).

she did not return the children last sunday and moved to georgia with them instead.  i live in pennsylvania.

i filed a contempt of court order today and we have a hearing this coming tuesday 9/14.

what can i expect at this hearing?  how will her actions effect the judges ruling for custody?

any information you provide will be helpful and appreciated.

blessings,

keri

Answer
You didn't specifically say, but I assume there is in place an order from a PA court setting the terms of the visitation. It sure sounds like she is in contempt to me. I would expect the judge to do anything from a stern lecture to allowing only supervised visitation to putting her in jail.
