Question
i was told that for some  jobs(government security etc) one ahs to  report or list on the appliq any and all public record civil actions that they were a party to (does this mean  as either plaintiff or defendant?)

what is menat by this
what about an elementary school test i was  caught cheating on  that my p[arents were calle dinto a conference aobut?
or  if imade a complaint about a  doctor or  social service  agency for breach of confidentiality or negligence or unprofessionalism
etc.. even if it was not for monetary damages but jsut  to discipline them.  (to a peer oversight agency etc)  or professional board or  to the office oof the proffesions or the office of professional medical misconduct or the state  education dept.?

Without seeing the job application, it is difficult to give you a reliable answer. However, as a general rule, if you don't truthfully answer all questions and you are hired, you may run the risk of at least being fired. Read the fine print. Some government job applications state that it is a crime if you don't answer truthfully.
