Civil/Commercial Litigation (Lawsuits)/used car form private party

Question
Hello, Thank you for your time.
I bought a car from a private party for my son.
He drove the car about 100 miles the first 24 hours and the clutch went out causing over $800.00 in damage. Am I just out of luck or can I go to small claims court?
Again thank your for your time and consideration.

Answer
Most states have a "buyer beware" policy, meaning you had an opportunity to have the car inspected before you bought it and are stuck with whatever problems it has. You might post your question at www.lawguru.com where it will be directed to attorneys in your state who may be familiar with your state's policy.
