A: Southeastern Engineering, Inc. (SEI) - Marietta, Ga - Full Service Civil Engineering Firm
Q: Exactly what kind of engineer are you and how long have you been employed as an engineer?
A: I am a Registered Professional Engineer and I have been out of school for 12 years. Generally, I am Transportation Engineer.
Q: Describe the duties and responsibilities of someone working in your field of engineering.
A: Early on they will do some drafting with design. They will work for a PE as a Engineer in Training (EIT).
Q: Are there specializations in your field of engineering and do you have a particular specialty?
A: I have expertise in several different fields - Transportation and General Civil are the main ones.
Q: What are some of the projects you’ve worked on and do you have one that your most proud of?
A: Several large projects like SR88 in west Georgia.
Q: Is any part of your job hazardous or dangerous?
A: Besides your eyes going because of a computer screen, no.
Q: How much of your time is spent on the computer?
A: 80%

A: All different types of engineers but mainly geotechnical and structural.

A: None that I can think of but it does help to do it more efficiently.

A: Benefits Okay will vary depending on firm and I get 3 weeks.
