what procedures must be followed when calculate a beams bending moment ,UDL and where in the concrete to put in the reinforcing steel?

Hi Madolo,

For UDL, the bending moment is a simply-supported beam is WL2/8 where W is the total applied +self weight load along the beam of length L.

Then you work out the rebar quantity and put that in the bottom of the beams but you alos need to put minimum 0.15% rebar on the top face and then insert shear links as necessary depending on the shear stress. Check out some further guidelines on www.google.com
