Question
Dear Sir,

Please let me know the connection details of RCC beam to inclined column details, as the bars for bottom bars going into column(inclined) can not be provided with acute bent(angle less than r min specified by code). Please explain in detail informing about anchorage length to be provided.

Answer
Hi Anand,

In this case, it is best to take the column bars to the top face of the beam and bend them along the top rebar of beam so that the internal bend angle is greater than 90deg for all the bars. In other words, there is no need to bend bars in two opposite horizontal directions into the beam.
