Civil Engineering/pile cap

Question
I work in a consultancy firm in kolkata, india. My question is that is it possible to cast a two pile cap where both the piles are about 250mm out of position. Dimension of the cap is 1000mm x 2350mm x 900mm. pile dia = 450mm. Tie beam sec.= 250mm x 400mm with 3-20tor at top & bottom.

Hi Aniruddha,

This is difficult to say without knowing the piles capacity for lateral bending and the column loads (vertical & moments). You will need to do an analysis and deternine what the additional moments and axial forces are due to the additional ecccentricity and then decide whether it is acceptable.
