Question
I am an architect doing my masters in civil department in Building science and technology in india.I am finding it difficult to connect to it as I am from an architectural backgroung. Can u advice

Answer
Hello Nidhi,

I am not entirely sure what you are having a hard time connecting with as I do not know much of what Architects study. However, I had a quick look at what the course outline is for Building Science and Technology. From what I gathered it seems to revolve around technology and the use of computers to assess the built environment.

What I could suggest you do is pick up an introductory course to Civil Engineering or buy a textbook which introduces you to Civil Engineering to gain a foundation in the basic terminology and concepts which Civil Engineers deal with. This could possibly help.

Another thing you could do is talk to your subject co-ordinator and explain to them your situation and ask them to advise you about the method you can take in order to gain a better understanding of this masters degree.

Warm Regards,
Jeanette
