Question
(1) I'm curious to know which subspecilaties within civil engineering hold the best prospects for employment in 2010 & 2011 (and beyond).
(2) Also, do you think a lot of civil engineering work will be outsourced to non-US countries?

Answer
1.) It is hard to say with current economy situation but it looks like things are coming around in the site development and transportation areas. 2.) In the past I have seen some civil site sent out to India but it has to be good fit for the firm. Simple site plans like one acre sites usually go pretty well but others not so much.
