Civil Engineering/Moment magnification factor from ETABS

Question
Dear Sir,

How can I get the value of moment magnification factor from ETABS? If I do P-delta analysis does it give the magnified moments?
If there is not any lateral load then is it necessary to magnify the moments? and If there is wind load, in ETABS we define two loads. One in X-direction & another in Y direction. For P-delta analysis which direction wind load should be assigned in the load combination?

with best regards,

Answer
Hi Dilruba,

Yes, ETABS does calculate magnification factors and includes these in the output. This applies equally to slender columns with or without p-delta analysis.

Yes, if you have slender columns then moment magnification is relevant. For pdelta analysis, ETABS will apply to both X and Y directions.
