can i use BS 8110 as a guide to design a bridge pile cap, instead of BS 5400. THANKS Ir ARSHAD!

Hi Fairul,

Technically there is no reason why you cannot use BS8110 for this, but you may need to check with the approving authorities, in case they have any strict regulations in place.

Please ensure you take bridge dynamic loading into account as well as static loading.
