Question
i need to construct a building 25 feet wide, 45 feet long & 15 feet clear height inside, no columns inside this 25 x 45 feet area, pl confirm the column sizes, th u mohan

Hi Mohan,

You have not given me enough info to advise you- for example, will the building be in RC or steel, what type of roof is intented (flat, sloping, single/double pitch), loading on roof (will there be snow in winter), is it a seismic zone, will there be walls or bracings along the outsides, can you have more than just 4 columns at the corners, etc, etc.

As a rough size, if it is in RC, I would think the columns need to be at least 1 ft square.
