Question
I have problem that seems you can help me to solve . I want to design bridges for pipe rack.But i do not know wiche methode is applicable to cunt wind load in paneling . first , I use winde sign meyhod for it .but i think the result is high.

Hi Malihe,

I am not sure I understand your question too well, but for wind loading on an open lattice structure there are special rules, in accordance with wind loading codes- to be on the conservative side, you could consider the projected area of the members subjected to wind loading and double that to allow for both positive and negative (suction) pressures?
