Sir,
In the elastic deformed shape got from safe after analysing a slab, the values are ( max.0.000 and min. -0.0067).unit selected is kn-m.sir ,I want to know that Is it safe or not? I designed a 250mm slab. thanking you for your kind help
Hi Naveen,
This depends on the span and the amount of rebar that you have detailed. Deflection itself is not an indication of safety, but of serviceability- if the deflection is within span/250 for long-term deflection, the latter requiremnet will normally be met.
