i am trying to analysis the twin box culvert that is subjected to wheel loads.I want to know how to analysis.please give me example.

Hi Sashen,

This is normally designed on basis of an influence line (moving loads, like for bridges), but you can simplify the design by applying earth pressures and also point (wheel/axel) loads in order to impose maximum shear (near supports) and maximum moments (near mid-span of each cell). This applies to the roof. For the side walls, you will get vertical compression, moment distribution from the roof, as well as earth/overburden pressure. For the floor, you will mainly get UDL foundations reaction, with concentrated loads at wall positions. Reynolds has a procedure for the analysis and design, and also here:
