Thank you Arshad for what you've given me so far but I still have a question based on what you given me.

If the 165mm slab that is there had steel reinforcing bars in it, either 1 or 2 layers would that make it strong enough please?

Also how big would the feet need to be to give the required load spread please?
From the calculation methods I've been able to find on the net I would need the feet to be 600mm diameter to get the loading down to around 35kN/m2. Is this anywhere close please?

Hi Rex,

The presence of rebar will only have a small influence on performance of the slab, as that depends on the subgrade. What rebar does is prevent localised cracking or punching failure.

Your calculation appears to be correct. How big you make them really depends on what risk you want to take or factor or safety you want to have.
