Hi,
I'm very interested in the study of alterative energy. I would like to someday create a sustainable energy resources or something like that. So I would like to know what kind of engineering (civil/environmental/material/etc.) I should be studying in undergrad school to prepare me for the study of alternative energy in the future. And what schools do you think have great programs for that major?

Hi Noon,

I am not an expert in this field, but I know that this is a very topical subject and one that is worthy of studying. I would imagine that the subjects that would be useful for you would be alternative materials, fluid dynamics (for wind/wave energy), thermodynamics, geology and electrical engineering (for solar or geothermal power), chemistry (for fuel cells)...so there are lots of possibilities!
