Sir,
I want design a pile cap with single pile located center of pile of cap.The pile cap carrying a R Column in center of pile cap.please tell me design procedure as per BS Code

Hi Shaik,

In this case, just ensure that the column is central to the pile, but take accidental eccentricity into account, in addition to any column base moments and ensure that the pile can resist not only the axial load but also the moments near the top. In oredre to reduce the moments into the pile, you could incorporate tie-beams across to adjacent pile caps.

The pile cap will basically need nominal rebar to act against bursting stresses, but otherwise the full column vertical rebar should extend (or lap with) the pile cap rebar.
