Question
What is the scope of doing a btech final year level project on the topic seimic vulnerability assessment of buildings?My sir said that doing rapid visual screening like things have less technical content..can u suggest something with technical content and practical things to be done?
I would be really grateful to you if i get answer for this...

Hi Namrutha,

Your topic can be quite technical, if you go deeper into assessing the aseismic design and construction of the buildings. for example, you could look into soft stories, infill blockwork, etc, as such things have a big impact of the seismic response of buildings. You could alos look into ground conditions, liquifaction, etc.
