Hi sir,i had a query in Etabs.i had done one model in etabs,i want to extract the quantity of steel and concrete from Etabs.i knew that we can extract concrete quantitu but i want the steel quantity too.kindly give me ur suggestions.

Hi Phani,

As far as I know, ETABS does not output rebar quantities/tonnage after design (as STAAD.Pro does). However, you could estimate it from the rebar areas that it outputs (after completing the design process), by multiplying the longitudinal areas with lengths of members (plus an allowance for laps, etc) and similarly for links, etc.
