Question
Dear sir
Can you explain weak beam strong column concept

Answer
Dear Priyantha

A general concept is governing the design of structures : No brittle and disastrous collapse possibility. When you design a structure with weak beam and strong column , it is impossible that in a lateral push over loading that the columns fail before the beams do. Then the collapse priority of beams make an alarm for a probable total collapse which is related to collapse of columns.
