Question
dear mr babak esmailzadeh thank you for past guidance.
what is difference between this two words?
flexibility and ductility .
regards
behzad.

Answer
Dear Behzad

Flexibility is usually interpreted as inverse of stiffness which is a elastic linear concept in our engineering view. It is calculated as the deflection under static loading. For an example you can say : a tender tree is  more flexible than a thick one.  But ductility has a non linear plastic concept inherent in it. You can say : steel is more ductile than concrete , but you know that a steel beam is not  more flexible than a concrete beam of the same size , you can check their deflection under a definite loading to see.
