Civil Engineering/footing in etabs

Question
Dear Sir,
Good Day :)
While doing the model for footing in etabs, what are the modification factors I should choose for the thick plate. Is it same as for the normal slab(shell)like m11=m12=m22=0.25 ?
Thanks so much ,
Regards.

Answer
Hi Ravi,

ETABS is not really too well suited for modelling and designing footings. I would just model the columns as pinned (if there are basements), or fixed, then use the support reactions for designing footings using other software such as Prokon, etc. Or if it is a raft, export to SAFE for analysis and design.
