I Suggest you to use a different thickness in upper parts so that you can investigate the effect of such an effect with more facts. I have used a software to be sure wether a lower stiffness in upper part can give a lower period and the result is what I thought. Plesae check more cases do a sensitivity analysis , altering the parameters and checking the results. I am eager to recieve your feed back.
