Question
I have often been confused about maintenance, as it relates to Civil Engineers. How can Civil Engineers maintain Buildings, Structures and Immovable Assets? In other words, what are their functions and roles in Structure maintenance?

Hi Idahor,

Basically, it relates to regular inspections and remedial work on items that have sufferred from wear and tear (e.g. say read surface), physical knocking (e.g. road barriers, bridge soffits and parapets, columns in car parks), buildings cladding, steel that may be rusting, concrete that may be spalling, etc, etc.
