Hi
Can U plz tell me that what all are the plinth walls and what are thier functions also do u have expertise in water and sanitation sector.

Answer -
Hi Adeel,

Plinth walls are short walls that are usually integral with the foundations (usually strip footings) and serve the twin purpose of stiffening up the footings and also of retaining any material (hardcore, etc) within the buildings.

I have done several water and sanitation projects, but usually only their structural inputs. In addition, I have designed dams, including the water catchments and flow calculations.

Kind regards,

Arshad

Answer
Hi Adeel,

Sorry I cannot send a picture, but basically, if you assume that the top of foundation is say 1.0 m below ground level, and say the underside of the ground floor slab is 0.3m above ground level, then the plinth wall will be 1.3m high. Hope that is clearer?

Kind regards,

Arshad
