Civil Engineering/Professional Fee

Question
I'm just new as a civil engineer in CA and would want to know the professional fee on designing a 1600 sq. ft one story house extension. I will do the structural design and stamp the calculations and structural drawings. The architect will prepare all drawings. It would take me approximately 20 hours to do the calcs and review of drawings.
Please let me know the usual profeesional fee to do this job?

Hi Ed,

I am sorry but I have no idea of how much fee is charged in CA, but as a guideline, I would apply say 6-8% of the capital cost of the extension as your fee and compare that with what 20hours of your time is worth?
