Question
sir,
How to repair/strengthen a isolated footing laid with M15 grade concrete instead of M20 grade concrete.The dimensions and reinforcement are provided correctly.

Hi Sreekanth,

You can roughen up the top and side surfaces, drill and grout in some T10 dowels at say 300mm centres (or at least 5 dowls along each side and top in each direction, then put a thin mesh and apply some bonding agent and cast a covering layer of M20 or M25 concrete at least 100-150 mm thick on the sides and top.

That should provide the extra strength and durability you need. Hope that helps!
